The pitch of the awning is adjustable but the recomended minimum pitch is 1 foot per foot of extension. The minimum drop from the mounted height is 10 inches at the front bar when fully extended.
You can attempt to adjust the pitch per the directions. You must maintain a minimum drop of 10 inches when fully extended to allow water run off. Extreme heavy rain will damage the awning and may require replacing the arm or arms.
Awning arms can be purchased on-line and are easily replaced.
