The clear space above any windows or doors and an overhang or obstruction above is 8 1/4"s. We suggest a minimum installation height of 7' 6"s to provide headroom at the front bar when fully extended.
Approximately 1" per foot of extension. With a 10 foot extension the front bar will be about 1 foot lower than the mounted height. The pitch is adjustable from about 1" per foot to 2"s per foot.
We do not recomend installer but any general handyman should be able to install the awning easily. All Bst Awnings are designed for easy homeowner installation.
We suggest 7' 6"s of spce to allow for head room at the front bar when fully extended. If the front bar will be past the end of your deck or patio or you plan to use it to block sun coming into the home, then you can certainly mount the awnign lower
All the awnings require final pitch adjustment once installed. In the warehouse prior to shipping we do a final test and make sure everything functions. This includes checking the pitch adjustment bolts but not setting the pitch.
